Collecting and using rainwater is a great way to augment your water needs and, in a little way help save our water resources for future generations and help combat climate change. However, for most of us, we are not that thrilled about having rather unsightly plastic tanks connected to large PVC pipes in our back yards.
Our vison was to look at rainwater tanks differently, tanks that are easily connectable and disguisable where the space occupied by the tank can be transformed into a place of beauty.
Our inspiration came from an ancient Japanese Zen idea called Wabi-sabi -- a concept that allows you to find beauty in rustic simplicity in objects that are imperfect and transient.
A key aspect of Zen gardens is the abundance of empty space – space which is pristine and uncluttered, a concept that we’ve tried to weave into the tanks to allow the space taken by the tanks to provide a reflection that signifies the concept of space and beauty of emptiness.
The Watershell range of tanks that has the ability to change their look to whatever your desire aesthetically, by applying cladding directly on to the tank. The cladding cut to the shape of the tank can be purchased based on your aesthetical requirements or you can make your own by purchasing the necessary items from your local hardware/garden centre.
